Credalast Velvet

The first prescription stocking to include Climate Effect technology. Tactel® Climate Effect wicks away moisture and improves air permeability. The breathable fabric looks elegant and is soft and comfortable.

Credalast Classic

Credalast Classic stockings are the original made to measure prescription stocking developed by the Credenhill / Activa Healthcare partnership.

Indications for use:

14-17mmHg – Class 1 FP10/GP10 – Provides light compression and should be used for superficial or early varicose veins and swollen ankles (e.g. during pregnancy).

Other indications – Activa Class 1 hosiery should also be considered post operatively and on long distance travel to help prevent deep vein thrombosis in normal risk groups.

18-24mmHg – Class 2 FP10/GP10 – Provides medium compression and should be used in medium severity varicose veins and mild oedema, including varicosis during pregnancy.

Activa Class 2 hosiery can be used as part of the treatment for and to prevent the occurrence and recurrence of venous leg ulcers.

Other indications – Activa Class 2 hosiery should also be considered post operatively and on long distance travel to help prevent deep vein thrombosis in high risk patients

25-35mmHg – Class 3 FP10/GP10 – Provides strong compression and should be used for severe varicose veins and gross oedema.

Activa Class 3 hosiery can be used for chronic venous insufficiency, post-thrombotic venous insufficiency and in the treatment and prevention of venous leg ulcers.

Contraindications:

  • Significant arterial disease (ischaemia) according to vascular assessment
  • Current acute inflammatory episode
  • Acute deep vein thrombosis
  • Patients with diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis unless after specialist referral and under supervision, due to risk of microvascular disease
  • Congestive heart failure, as compression could lead to cardiac overload
  • Sensory disorders of the limb i.e. peripheral neuropathy
  • Known sensitivity to the fabric

Writing the prescription?

MadeToMeasure Hosiery must be stated on the prescription including the fabric, class, colour, style and quantity for each leg.

Ease

High patient comfort and concordance. Soft feeling fabric combined with effective compression and easy application. Available in European classes 1, 2 and 3.

Dura

For patients who need a stiffer garment to control chronic lymphoedema. Necessary fabric stiffness to manage the severity of the condition. Available in European classes 2 and 3. Contains Latex.

Indications for use:

ActiLymph® 18-21mmHg – European Class 1 FP10/GP10 - Provides light compression and should be used for early/mild chronic oedema, lymphoedema - where the oedema is light to moderate with little shape distortion. Is also suitable for chronic oedema, lymphoedema, lipoedema, prophylaxis, maintenance therapy, palliative use and patients who are pressure sensitive.

ActiLymph® 23-32mmHg - European Class 2 FP10/GP10 - Provides medium compression and should be used in cases of moderate to severe chronic oedema or lymphoedema.

ActiLymph® Class 2 hosiery can be used as part of the treatment for, and to provide maintenance therapy of chronic oedema and lymphoedema.

ActiLymph® 34-46mmHg - European Class 3 FP10/GP10 - Provides strong compression and should be used for severe chronic oedema and lymphoedema. However, there should be only slight or minor limb shape distortion.

For large or irregular shaped limbs, compression bandaging may be indicated until the limb size and shape is suitable for a compression garment
