Patient’s can see an improvement in the wound and it actually improves their quality of life.
I’ve seen some impressive results using Debrisoft in our specialist leg ulcer clinic. Before we started using Debrisoft we would tend to use dressings for debridement such as a hydrogel or hydrocolloid dressing, and in some instances, some sharp debridement as well. The problem with these methods of debridement is the length of time they take and also the fact that they were sometimes painful for the patient.
Debrisoft has been really good. It debrides wounds really quickly and patients like it. They can see an improvement in the wound and it actually improves their quality of life. Also, it’s reduced the amount of dressing changes we’ve had to do.
I have a gentleman who attends our specialist leg ulcer clinic and he has quite a sloughy venous leg ulcer and I use Debrisoft to aid debridement of his wound. Not only did I see the instant results using the Debrisoft but also this improvement of his wound continued through until his following dressing change a week later.
